Sweet Seven

Seventh birthdays are rarely celebrated as compared to 1st or 16th or 18th (for girls) or 21st (for guys) birthdays. If 18th and 21st birthdays symbolize entry to adulthood or even adulting, 7th birthdays are a milestone as kids become more independent and less reliant to their parents. Others say that the 7th bday should be commemorated since the child has reached an age of accountability and all his/her immunizations are complete.

We were so blessed to design the floral needs of a sweet and charming princess’ 7th birthday last December. We’ve created several purple wrist corsages for the birthday girl, Klydee that matched her lavender ball gown. Her entourage (seven gifts and wishes) got their own wrist corsages too and for the special men in her life, each has their own roses to give during their dance with her.

What I find remarkable about this event is how Klydee appreciated the flower designs we’ve made for her. She noticed little details like how big and grand her wrist corsage is compared to her other guests. And how she loved the Ferrero chocolate bouquet I made for her! She keeps asking me if she could eat one already. She never let go of that bouquet from the moment I handed it to her until the end of the night. I’ll always remember her expression of pure joy when seeing those floral arrangements.
