One August afternoon I got a call inquiring about our wedding floral services. It was such a pleasant surprise especially after knowing that they found out about Plum through our Facebook posting. The next day, me and my husband Ped met the lovely the bride, Chloe and her coordinator to discuss her requirements and wedding theme. From the start, Chloe knew exactly what she really wanted for her flower arrangements-- a simple yet elegant design that will wow the guests. She loves rhinestone, blush and rose gold hues, and she wanted us to incorporate that in the arrangements.
I was really thrilled to do this wedding because this is the first time we will do it as the revamp Plum Floral Arrangements. For quite some time now, we're building our new official website and planning to launch it this September. And what better way to kick off things than this wedding.
I started picking out unique flowers that I don't normally use like for the bridal bouquet I put some Quicksand cream roses, Blushing bride, Lilium, with tinges of rhinestone to make it more sophisticated and classy. For the bridesmaids, I used Marzipan roses and dusty miller. For the handsome groom and his groomsmen we used Ranunculus, spray roses, and bear grass. I usually don't order my flowers online but I handpicked them myself so I can check the quality.
We made ocular visits to the Biblical Community church and we met their pastor and church mates. As for the church design, I made two large floral centerpieces for the altar (something happened to 1 centerpiece, more on that later) and we decorated each aisle with ivory sash, loose petals, and flameless candles. We accentuated the chairs with Hydrangea, Ecuadorian roses, and Baby's breath.
During the course of planning the wedding floral decor, I get to know Chloe and her amazing life story. Knowing a bit about her helped me in creating the design that not only she loves but also reflects her personality. On the wedding day itself, we encountered some hiccups and hurdles especially on how to make the altar centerpieces more stable and sturdy. It was challenging, especially for me who hasn't had any sleep for the past 2-3 days. An hour away from the wedding, me and Ped really prayed hard that we get to attach the enormous flower arrangement in the vase. And we did it!

I was happy to see my sons helping me out by taking photos and just being there to show their support. We witnessed Chloe's wedding and it was touching, sweet, and full of love. And I'm grateful to be part of it.
