Despite the strong downpour of rain last Saturday morning, the wonderful women of First Baptist church Grand Prairie of different ages showed up for the women ministry’s spring brunch event.
The said event was organized by Erin Smith and team to kickoff the women’s ministry of the church as well as to have a platform for members (old and new) to meet and fellowship. Initially, they were expecting 50 women to show up but the turned up is 122.
design contest also ensued where each table was intricately decorated with themes like Easter and Spring. Each table showed creativeness in the way they were decorated. We also spotted special china sets, some from vintage collection or from their in-laws or grandparents. It was exciting to see beautifully created tables and meeting the creative genius behind those. The women got to select which ones are the top 3 winners by putting marbles on the designated pail, representing table numbers.

We were so blessed to be part of this event as a way of giving back to our community and to meet new sisters in Christ. Winners get to received baked cookies (made by one of the organizers), Michael’s gift certificate, and of course, flowers from Plum. We also gave them promo code that they used for the upcoming Mother’s Day in May.
