When we received the invitation for The Knot and Wedding Wire’s Wedding Pro Social event several weeks ago, I was ecstatic. Plum Floral has just started last year and although, we did a couple of weddings before, we’re still a neophyte, trying to gain traction in the wedding industry. And to be invited in such event, is such an honor because we know that me and my team can learn a lot from this experience.
The event was held at BRIK venue at Fort Worth, TX last May 15. We met a number of talented and amazing wedding vendors—from photographers, event planners, caterers to DJs. We also gain a lot of insights from just talking to these people who generously shared their tips and advice based on their years of experience in the biz.
We also a got a chance to consult with The Knot re: marketing strategies and that gave me something to ponder on, with regards to the direction and steps we need to take to get more wedding bookings.
All in all, I’m grateful to be in a company of these wonderful people whom I’d like to collaborate with in the future. This day is also special since it’s my husband Ped’s birthday. [Side note: we keep teasing that this is his birthday celebration party]. I’m so blessed to have a husband and father of my kids that’s always supportive, and who’s always there through thick and thin.
